Woman Attended By 40 Doctors During Record-Breaking Delivery Of Adorable Quintuplets
For a couple who love each other, the arrival of a child is the greatest joy, the crowning of their life project. Mixed with emotion and happiness, there is also a certain anxiety in the face of such a new event to face, so we can imagine what happens when instead of one child, we discover that we are going to have “many”. This situation was experienced by Alexandra Kinov, 23, and her boyfriend Antonin Kroscen, two young people from Prague in the Czech Republic.
Antonin and Alexandra already had a son, so they were immediately delighted to learn that their family was going to grow, even if they still had no idea “how much” it was going to grow.
The couple knew that they could have twins because similar cases had already appeared in their respective families. After the first tests, the doctors confirmed it, they were indeed twins.
However, the gynecologist wanted to repeat the ultrasound, as he was not convinced of the prognosis. To their great surprise, the couple discovered that there were not two but three children.
But the surprises were far from over, because when they repeated the diagnosis, the young parents learned that there were five twins in total. The doctors had already partly suspected this, but they preferred to wait before making a decision.
From what the medical profession has said, it seems that statistically speaking, the natural birth of five twins is likely to represent one case in several million.
The sex of the newborns could not be determined with certainty because the ultrasounds appeared too confusing given the presence of so many children. Alexandra therefore decided to wait until the birth to see it with her own eyes.
The moment of delivery was a historic day for their country, Alexandra was assisted by 40 doctors during the caesarean section due to the special conditions which made the situation rather complex.
Antonin was unable to assist his wife at the hospital, being stuck in traffic. To this day, he blames himself for not being there when he wanted to be there more than anything.
Despite this minor setback, Alexandra gave birth to five wonderful, healthy children, four boys and one girl named Alex, Deniel, Martin, Michael and Terezka.
The woman’s children are the first five twins born in the Czech Republic since 1949, an event that, according to statistics, occurs once every 480 years. The chances of a birth without complications at the time of delivery and in the future for this type of birth are 1 in 47 million. Six years have passed since that day, and the children continue to grow up healthy and happy, so together with their parents Alexandra and Antonin they now form a big and beautiful family.
